Materials for the Orliderm Method

Here is a list of the materials you will need to make Orliderm ointment.  While you may be able to get some of these items in local stores, it can be challenging to find the same items we have used and tested.

To simplify the process of getting the items, for your convenience, we provide links to Amazon.com so that it is easy to get exactly what you will need to make Orliderm ointment. When you purchase by clicking on these links the price you pay at Amazon is the same and a small portion of the sales price goes to help support this website.

We recently changed the formulation and mixing instructions to make it easier for parents to mix Orliderm ointment. In the mixing instructions we refer to the new formulation as improved Orliderm ointment.

determine how much to buy

The amount you need is determined by how many areas of rash are on your child.

For your convenience we have provided starter kits which provide all the ingredients you will need to get started.

After the kits we have listed the individual ingredients.

individual items

1. Hydrocortisone ointment

2-oz tube of 1% hydrocortisone ointment

All hydrocortisones are not the same.  Ointment works.  Hydrocortisone cream does not work.

2. Purell® Hand Sanitizer gel

Purell® Advanced Instant Hand Sanitizer with Aloe, 8 oz. Pump Bottle

This kind of Purell gel works well.  Other hand sanitizer gels have different ingredients.  We have not tested them and they may not work.
